Where are you from?

Originally from the Sunshine Coast. Studied in Central Queensland, now living in Melbourne.

What do you love about working for Bioweed and Greenpro?

I love the multifaceted nature of the job. One day I can be talking to an avid home gardener about their citrus trees and how to get the best crop in a pot – the next I could be speaking with large scale farming enterprises looking to control a hard to kill weed organically.

What have you learned from working for Bioweed and Greenpro?

From working for Bioweed and Greenpro, I have substantially increased my knowledge of weeds around the country. From South Australia to all the way up to Northern Queensland, talking to people from all different walks of life on a daily basis has given me the experience to understand and cater for all different types of plant growers!

Explain your take on organic gardening for rookies in 25 words or less?

Organic gardening is knowing all of the components of your garden have come from a natural source – giving you peace of mind, while maintaining a productive garden.

Other than plants, what are your other passions?

I love to cook – obviously this is easier when the vegetables come fresh from the garden. You don’t have to do a lot to them to make a great meal. I also enjoy camping and fishing, waking up and listening to nature before heading down to the water. What could be better?

Qualifications: Bachelor in Business (Agribusiness), and Diploma of Equine Management

Where are you from?

Originally from the United Kingdom, I grew up living in both Scotland and England. We made the move over to Australia when I was still quite young, and made our way to Victoria. I now live on a thirty acre property, where we breed highland cattle along with training ex racehorses.

What do you love about working for Bioweed and Greenpro?

I love being able to give people a safer alternative for weed killers. For livestock on properties, it’s so much more convenient for owners to control and eradicate weeds without having to move stock from paddock to paddock! Even on smaller properties it can be a struggle, so I really enjoy taking some of the hassle out of it for our farmers.

What have you learned from working for Bioweed and Greenpro?

I have learned a massive amount just from working closely with our customers. We ultimately aim to help them receive a better result from the product, but the process also allows me to grow my knowledge of different weeds while assisting a large array of people at the same time.

As we already take so much from it, it’s your way of giving back to the Earth.

Other than plants, what are your other passions?

Having always been immersed in the horse world, I’m extremely passionate about the equine industry, I personally ride and train eventing horses, and am continuously gaining knowledge and experience through competing at various levels around Australia. A new hobby (and passion) of mine is retraining racehorses for the same style of eventing. Away from horses, I do dabble in painting, along with a genuine love for managing the breeding program for my highland cows at home.
